What is a well-fitting muzzle like?

There should be about .25” (or 1/2 cm) between the tip of the nose and the front inside of the muzzle, and the same amount of space between the start of the muzzle’s nose length and the base of your dog’s eyes, as the muzzle rests naturally. To prevent it from tightly pushing up against the snout or loosely sliding too far down the nose, you can adjust the neck strap, behind the head.

Q1: How do you measure the dog’s snout for the correct size?

A1: Try to calm your dog down first to get an accurate measurement. Measure around the widest part of your dog’s mouth(with a slight open), one inch below the eye base. If your dog’s measurements fall between two sizes, please choose the large size.

Q2: Why does my dog always try to take off the muzzle?

A2: There are two reasons for this:

1. The selected size is incorrect for your dog.

2. Most dogs resist wearing muzzles for the first time. Please do positive training before putting on a muzzle for your dog. The muzzle is an auxiliary training tool, and the more important is the patience and training of the owner. Try to give your dog more positive feedback, your dog will feel your attitude.

Q3: Why is the muzzle easy to tear by a dog?

A3: Dogs can’t adapt to wearing a muzzle at first. They may think that the muzzle restricts their activities, or use the muzzle as a toy. Please trim your dog’s nails first when wearing the mesh muzzle, because a smart dog will try to stick his/her nails in the mesh to take off or destroy the muzzle. We recommend doing positive training to introduce muzzles to dogs.

Q4: Can the muzzle be worn for a long time?

A4: It is not recommended to wear the muzzle for a long time, and it is not recommended to wear it without human supervision to avoid dangerous situations.
