Turn on the grinder by sliding button to ON position. 3. Gently grip your pet’s paw and guide the nail into the proper size entry point for your pet’s size until you feel it make contact with the grinder.4. Hold each nail against the grinder for no more than 5 seconds each. Do not apply excessive pressure. Avoid direct skin contact and only grind the tips of your pet’s nails. 5. If this if your first time using a grinder on your pet’s nails, it is recommended to only remove the pointed tips of the nails so as to not over-grind and expose the quick.
