The Doggyhut Premium Large Pet Bicycle Trailer is a great way to maintain an active lifestyle with your pet. If you want to get in a bike ride, but your pet isn’t up to it, you can still take them along. It could be used as a training crate at home or pet car seat in the car.

Doggyhut’s design features an extra-wide wheelbase and a lower center-of-gravity to provide outstanding ride stability and easier access for pets getting in and out of the cabin.

The front door on the trailer includes a zippered, mesh screen layer plus a zippered, clear vinyl layer to block wind and weather. The zipped sunroof on the top provides ample airflow and room for pets to peek their heads out and look around. An optional washable pet mat (sold separately) keeps pets comfortable on long rides Assembles quickly and folds down for easy storage and transport.

Fits Most Bike/E-Bike

The Doggyhut bike trailer comes with a universal hitch that easily attaches to your bike with quick release or bolt-on axle ≤ ⌀12mm on standard dropouts. If your bike comes with a hooded dropout or in some case, or if the axle is too short for the nut to be re-installed, you will need an adapter (sold seperately).Not recommended for bikes with thru-axles.If you are not sure whether the hitch fits onto your bike or which type of adapter you might need, please contact the retailer for more information.

Hitch Installation

Installation on Bolt-on Axle

The Bolt-on Axle has a hex nut on both sides.It is common on fixed gear bikes or e-ebikes. The included hitch fits the Bolt-on Axle with maximum 12mm diameter.

Installation on QR Axle

The quick release axle is the most common type of axle. It has a lever that clamps the axle in place with an acorn nut on the opposite end.

Standard Dropout

Most bikes have a standard dropout.They won’t all look like this, but the key point to look for is a flat area around the axle where the Hitch can lay flush against the frame.

Hooded Dropout

Hooded dropouts have a protruding metal hood that extends around the top of the dropout.They can prevent the Hitch from lying flush against the frame. In this case, you might need an adapter.(sold seperately)

Choose the Right Size of Trailer

Measure Your Dog

The body length (A-B) is measured from the breast bone to the tail. Include some, but not all, of the tail if it is long. For really thick, hard tails, you should measure more of the tail, or else it will whack on the trailer every time they wag their tail. To this, add approximately 2 inches (5cm) for small dogs and 4 inches (10cm) for larger dogs to get the length of the dog.The shoulder height (C-D) is measured from the withers (highest bony part of dog shoulder blades) to the ground.

Suitable for large sized dogs (max shoulder height: 24 inches and 31 inches of length). Cabin dimensions: 31.5x22x24.80 inches. PLEASE MEASURE YOUR DOG BEFORE ORDERING TO ENSURE THE TRAILER CABIN IS LARGE ENOUGH TO FIT YOUR DOG.
