Does NOT drain the battery

This device does NOT drain the vehicle battery. It consumes less than 0.3 percent of the vehicle battery per day. Furthermore, it periodically detects the input voltage to assure that the battery has enough power for vehicle functions.

The device will automatically power off before the input voltage goes too low (below 11.5 Volts) to protect the vehicle battery.
