Going meatless has never tasted so good! If you have some dried beans, lentils, or chickpeas on hand, you can make delicious homemade veggie burgers that taste better than any frozen patty from the store and are healthier than a burger from any fast food chain.

Making your own veggie burgers is quick and easy! Simply mix in your favorite grains, vegetables, and spices to create your own gourmet veggie burger. Add our tomato powder and fresh basil for an Italian style veggie burger, or toss in a handful of our dried chili mix and grated cheddar cheese for a twist on the classic bowl of chili. Dehydrated vegetables hold up extremely well in a burger, and the combinations are endless!

Ingredients:

¾ cups Harmony House Foods Dehydrated Black Beans 1 cup water 3 tablespoons Harmony House Foods Dehydrated Peppers3 tablespoons Harmony House Foods Dehydrated Onions 1 teaspoon chili powder ½ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon salt ¼ cup bread crumbs ¼ cup whole wheat flour 1 egg Directions:

Place dried black beans and water in a food processor and pulse lightly.Pour mixture into a bowl and add remaining ingredients except for bread crumbs, flour, and egg. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes to soak up water.Mix in bread crumbs, flour and egg.Heat nonstick pan over medium heat. Shape burger mix into patties in the pan and let cook 6-8 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes.
