“I started Lockhart’s in order to create the most unique hair products that are nearly impossible to replicate at the large scale that the “big box” brands operate at. I noticed that all of the products available at chain stores were just cookie cutter versions of other products already on the shelves, just packed differently and marketed towards male model types. Lockhart’s Water-based Goon Grease is a culmination of a tradition and ambition. In 2013, the original goon grease thrust Lockhart’s into the limelight as the first oil-based pomade with both a heavy hold and high shine. Since 2015, we’ve been searching for the magic formula to make a Goon Grease that washes out with just water. Tested and critiqued by over 300 barbers and fans across the globe, Water Based Goon Grease is finally here!

Pro tip:

Apply Water Based Goon Grease to ever so slightly damp hair. Too wet and it will decrease the initial hold slightly, too dry and it may clump up and not fully spread evenly in the hair, if this occurs just dampen the hair slightly and comb through.

WHO ITS FOR: Guys wanting a water-based pomade with a superior heavy hold, firm texture, AND high shine. We made our Water-Based line for those who love the original Goon Grease formula but don’t enjoy the tediousness of washing out an oil-based pomade.
WHAT IT DOES: Keeps your hair held high and shining all day! Perfect for slick styles, pompadours, modern side parts, and everything in between. Fully water-soluble formula washes out easier than an oil-based pomade.
THAT SWEET AROMA: Infused with our signature Citrus Cucumber Cologne scent – a refreshing blend of bergamot, ozone, and coriander, grounded by rich notes of musk, pipe tobacco, and patchouli.
PRO TIP: Start by working a small amount of product into blow-dried hair, moving from back to front. Gradually add more until you reach the desired hold. Blow dry your hair with medium heat to shape it, then switch to the cold setting to lock in the style. Your hair will stay flexible throughout the day and can be easily restyled by running your fingers through it.
