The working principles of MustGo Packing Tabs are simple. Upon exposure to air, MustGo Packing Tabs slowly begin emitting a dry invisible vapor. The tablets emit more vapor at higher temperatures and in areas that aren’t sealed completely airtight or where there is airflow.

MustGo Packing Tabs work by slowly and continuously emitting an invisible dry vapor, which distributes and fills the airspace, including hard to reach areas within sealed storage enclosures. The vapor is absorbed into materials through exposure during storage and does not stain, bleach, fade or corrode your property. When items are removed from protective storage, the absorbed vapor quickly dissipates upon exposure to fresh air.

Ingredient information

The active ingredient in MustGo Packing Tabs is Diphenyl, also known as Biphenyl (CAS# 92-52-4). This ingredient is not listed on California’s Prop 65 list. MustGo Packing Tabs can be used in the same space as calcium chloride moisture absorbers, but should not be physically mixed together. Diphenyl is used as food preservative and flavoring agent. Diphenyl does naturally occur and has been detected in bilberry, wine grape, carrot, peas, rum, potato, bell pepper, tomato, butter, milk, smoked fatty fish, cocoa, coffee, roast peanuts, olive, buckwheat and tamarind. Diphenyl is found in many foods, some of which are lovage, carrots, alcoholic beverages, and nuts.

MustGo Packing Tabs do not contain dyes, and unlike other products, they will not bleach or corrode property, including delicates. They also contain no added fragrance.

How many MustGo Packing Tabs should be used in a box? Use more MustGo Packing Tabs when storing dense materials such as clothing, linens, books, documents, etc. A tightly packed medium size box (18” x 18” x 16”) requires 12-18 tablets, evenly placed throughout contents. Use fewer MustGo Packing Tabs when there are less dense contents or they are sparsely packed, such as kitchen utensils, small appliances, etc. A medium box (18” x 18” x 16”) requires 6-8 tablets, evenly placed throughout contents.

Can MustGo Packing Tabs be exposed to too much sunlight? The melting point of the tablets is 156F / 69C, avoid placing tablets in direct sunlight during warm or hot weather. Higher temperatures and increased air flow may accelerate vaporization.
